I COMPLETED THE THIRD CYCLE!! Now, I’ll start back at the first cycle. I am 8 lbs. away from my overall goal. This final cycle, most people on the Facebook support group said they didn’t lose any weight. So I wasn’t expecting to lose anything. HOWEVER, I hopped on the scale this morning and lost another 4 lbs. In 17 days! This diet is incredible. Recap: I’ve lost 14 lbs since I started (less than 2 months ago) and 27 lbs since Spring Break (above picture).
Here is my blog for this 17 days:
Cycle 3:
Day 1: My whole body feels swollen from the cheat dinner last night of cheese, carbs, sugar, and salt. It’s amazing what food can do to your body in just one meal. It’s crazy to think I used to eat this way for meals, days, and weeks at a time.
Day 2: I’m feeling good on this cycle. I love the amount of good starches, carbs, and fat free cheeses I can eat.
Day 3: I got some good recipes for the week I’m anxious to try. I had to go to the bathroom so much today due to the thick amounts of water I’ve drank. I added green tea back in today, but I made sure that I had enough to eat before I drank it.
Day 4: I had a rough day with the kids today. They stayed on my last nerve. The final straw was tonight, Peyton colored on his wall and himself with a magic marker his sister gave to him. I was so frustrated and depressed. I want to eat all the food. But settled for water instead.
Day 5: Ben gave me a “me day” today. I treated myself to some brown rice sushi with low fat cream cheese, avocado, and cucumber. I also bought some skinny cows for dessert tonight after supper. Hey, they’re Dr. Moreno approved.
Day 6: I passed up all foods after dinner tonight. And I could have even had a Skinny Cow ice cream! Success.
Day 7: Amber came into town so late tonight, we snacked with cheese dip and chips.
Day 8: I felt guilty about last night, so I ate great with Amber all day during our outings. However, when she left tonight, I ate the kids leftover chicken sticks and pasta with cheese. Definite evening fail.
Day 9: Ate tons of veggies at the pot luck. Why is it at night that I fail? For the third day in a row, I had a terrible dinner. This time, Mexican. But I did stop myself from eating the ice cream I bought. I just wasn’t hungry.
Day 10: Started back to school today. I don’t know if I was just busy or if keeping me on a routine keeps me smart when it comes to food. Anyway, I did great today!
Day 11: It’s Ben fault I ate terrible tonight. He’s starting a diet tomorrow so he wanted me to join him in Mexican and cookies (my favorite). I had a doctor follow up appointment today and I had lost 20 lbs since I was there in February. He was overly complimentary.
Day 12: Back on track!
Day 13: Kicked off the school year with a great strength training workout. My body is still in detox of bad food choices so I’m hoping to feel less swollen by tomorrow or Saturday. I felt gross tonight even though I ate great. I think I’m not getting the calories I need each day.
Day 14: I think my issue last night was that I was so tired. I slept great and feel great today! I ran out of time to make dinner. And I had dress rehearsal tonight for the Stanley’s. So, I stopped at Subway and got a 6” wheat sub with loads of veggies. I didn’t get any sides or anything. Success!
Day 15: I made the best chicken tortilla soup today for lunch. It was one of the recipes in the 17 Day Diet book. My stomach is going through some kind of muscle spasm today. I dont know if that’s from the workouts or the food. I blew it tonight. We ate Rosie’s, my favorite Restaurant. I was having a bleh night and went for a blizzard too. Total fail.
Day 16: Today was a better day. I feel guilty about last nights meal. Especially since I have to weigh Tuesday.
Day 17: I ate great today. I felt full. I had show choir rehearsal after school and I could definitely tell that I had lost weight. I felt much more confident with my body image this season. I’m nervous to weigh tomorrow. I’m hoping for positive numbers!
